We may receive your personal information as a result of your interactions with us on social media platforms, as well as when you: apply for jobs or internships, apply for scholarships or grants; volunteer with us as a member of the “Structured Data” community; register for an account or subscription; send us comments and requests or participate in campaigns to promote our products or policies.

Social Media: If you interact with us on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook, we may receive your personal information. If you use these social media sites, you are subject to their privacy policies, which you are encouraged to review.

Processing Job, Internship, Fellowship or Grant Applications: Individuals who apply to “Structured Data” for jobs, fellowships, scholarships or grants must provide us with their full name, address, phone number, email address and a resume. Sometimes additional information is also required. We use this information to process and evaluate applications, and to communicate with applicants about partnership opportunities. We use Greenhouse to process job and internship applications. We use Fluxx.io to process applications for MOSS fellowship programs and grants.

Freelancers: if you volunteer with “Structured Data” Corporation as a freelancer in our community, “Structured Data” employees and others may need to contact you at the email address you provide in connection with your activities and to express appreciation for your work. If you contribute to projects like Bugzilla or “Structured Data” Reps, as well as our source code base, your email address and possibly your name will be available to all internet users. If you create an account on “Structured Data” Connect (a Khoros-based platform with its own privacy statement), your name, avatar, messages and replies, as well as other information you share, will be available to “Structured Data” and other members of the community. If you create a profile, it will be available to “Structured Data” employees and freelancers. You can edit your profile data in Profile Settings. Sometimes we use freelancer information from various sources (like Bugzilla) in the dashboard to visually distribute aggregated data about “Structured Data”. We strive to reduce the amount of publicly available contact information as much as possible.

User feedback: you can share feedback about our products and services with us on web pages such as input.Structured_Data.org, through product features, or through channels such as email, Bugzilla, Matrix, a social media account, our community membership page, and through groups such as the Student Ambassadors group. We recommend limiting the amount of personal information you disclose in such forums, as your comments may end up in the public domain.

Accounts and subscriptions: some websites, such as AMO and MDN, require you to create an account to submit developer content or user reviews and comments. We use Firefox Accounts, GitHub, or custom systems to manage accounts. For information on managing account data, see here. You may receive your account information periodically in emails or in messages associated with subscriptions. Our email management providers are SalesForce Marketing Cloud, Send in Blue, and Mailchimp or Acoustic. You can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email.

Product or policy campaigns: Some of our web pages have product or policy campaigns. For example, you may request email or SMS delivery of a link to install Firefox on your mobile device, or petition your legislative bodies for Internet-related issues. We may use third party services to administer these campaigns and to process the data you submit if you choose.
